When I have a fever, putting a cool, damp cloth on my forehead really helps bring the temperature down. Make sure to rest completely and drink lots of coconut water or warm soups to stay hydrated. Don't try any heavy home remedies.

Just stick to simple things like light khichdi, plenty of warm water, and ample rest. Keep your room well-ventilated and don't wrap yourself in too many heavy blankets. If you don't feel better by tomorrow, visit your local clinic.

I get so anxious whenever my temperature spikes even slightly. Please keep checking your temperature with a digital thermometer every few hours to track it. If you feel any chest pain, difficulty breathing, or severe shivering, please go to a clinic right away.

My family physician always says that fever is just our body fighting an infection, so we shouldn't panic. He advised taking basic paracetamol only if the body aches are bad, and sponge with lukewarm water instead of cold water. If the fever stays above 102°F or lasts more than three days, see a doctor immediately.

Practically speaking, the fastest way to feel better is resting in a cool room with light clothing so your body can release heat. Sip warm water and avoid heavy, spicy foods that are hard to digest. If you have a high fever with a stiff neck or confusion, skip home care and go straight to the hospital.

Luke warm water sponging and plenty of fluids are best. If the fever is high or persistent, please consult a doctor immediately.

While home sponging can help temporarily, a fever can be a sign of many different infections like dengue or viral flu. It is always safest to get a professional medical consultation rather than treating it at home for too long. Please consult a doctor for proper diagnosis.
