How big of a kidney stone can be passed?

My father has had kidney stones multiple times, and I'm worried I might get them too. I've heard some stones can pass naturally; I want to know what size is usually considered possible to pass without intervention.

Generally, stones up to 4mm or 5mm have an 80% chance of passing on their own if you track your daily water intake. I logged 3.5 liters of water daily on my app to pass my 4mm stone. Anything above 6mm usually needs medical intervention.

Don't panic. Usually, stones smaller than 4mm pass out quietly with lots of fluids. If it is bigger than 6mm, it can be very painful and might get stuck, so please don't wait at home. Keep your doctor informed.

Max 4mm to 5mm can pass naturally with heavy water intake. If it's 7mm or 8mm, stop waiting for magic remedies and go see a urologist. You don't want to end up with a blocked kidney.

Stones under 5mm usually pass naturally in a week or two, but it takes time and patience. I couldn't afford to take off from work, so when my scan showed a 7mm stone, I opted for the doctor's recommended procedure immediately instead of waiting.

Actually, anything around 4mm or less is easily passable, yaar. Just chug lots of water and coconut water. But if you start getting intense back pain or blood in urine, don't ignore it, go to the hospital immediately.

I've heard that stones smaller than 4mm can usually pass with plenty of hydration. Since I have PCOS, I'm always careful about metabolic health and mineral balances. If your scan shows a larger stone, please talk to a specialist instead of trying too many home remedies.

Stones under 4mm can pass with high fluid intake. Since I manage diabetes, I avoid packaged juices or sweet drinks for this and rely strictly on plain water and unsalted lime water to flush it out safely.

I passed a 4mm stone last month and honestly, it felt like hell. My doctor said anything above 5mm is risky to try at home because it can block the tract. Just drink 4 liters of water and hope for the best.

The internet says up to 5mm can pass, but I literally get sleepless nights worrying it will get stuck and cause kidney damage. If you are in a lot of pain, please go to a clinic. It is better to get a quick ultrasound than to live in constant fear.

Usually, only stones up to 4-5mm can pass naturally. Anything bigger than that definitely needs a doctor's checkup.
