How big is a kidney bean?

I'm talking about the actual kidney bean, the rajma we cook! I'm trying to compare its size to some other pulses for a recipe. So, roughly how big is a kidney bean?

Bro, a raw kidney bean (rajma) is usually about 1 to 1.5 cm long. Once you soak and boil them, they swell up to almost 2 cm. They are pretty small but make for the best rajma chawal ever.

A standard kidney bean is about half an inch long when dry, and grows a bit larger after soaking overnight. When cooking them, make sure to soak them for at least 8 hours so they cook properly and don't cause gas or bloating.

A kidney bean is about 1.5 cm long when dry, which is exactly the size of the stones my body loves to produce! At my age, you look at a plate of rajma and wonder if your kidneys are taking notes. Cook them well so your stomach doesn't suffer.

Hey! A kidney bean is barely 1.5 cm long, so it is quite tiny. If you are using it to compare with a kidney stone size from your report, don't stress too much, my friend. Just share the scan with a doctor and they will help you out easily.

It is about 1.5 cm long, very small and shaped exactly like our kidneys. I know it sounds silly, but seeing how small they are reminds me of how delicate our internal organs can be when we struggle with health issues. It is completely okay to feel anxious about small changes in your body.

A dry kidney bean is just about 1 to 1.5 cm in size, and it looks super cute with its red color! It is exactly the shape of a miniature human kidney. Perfect for making some delicious, warm rajma curry on a Sunday! 🍲
