How big is 1 tb?

My father's medical report mentions a '1 tb' something. We are a bit confused about what that means in terms of size. Could someone explain how big this '1 tb' usually is?

If you mean a 1 cm tubal block or a mass of 1 tb on a scan report, it is about the size of a green pea. My doctor told me that when measuring lesions or cysts, anything around 1 cm is usually monitored closely or tested further. It is best to have your specialist read the exact context of your report.

If you are referring to a 1 cm cyst or follicle, it is about 10 mm, which is quite common in PCOS scans. But I would suggest not guessing online and showing the actual scan images to your gynecologist. Every body is different and only a doctor can tell you what it means for your health.

A 1 cm spot or cyst is roughly the size of a small pea. Please don't worry too much, just show it to your doctor and they will guide you gently.

Wait, is this about a 1 cm cyst or a tubercle spot from tuberculosis? I got a report mentioning a small nodule of this size and I have been panicking all night. Has anyone else had a similar small spot on their scans that turned out to be completely harmless?

Oh god, reading scan reports always makes my heart race. A 1 cm measurement (if that's what you mean by 1 tb) is tiny, like a small bean, but my mind always jumps to the worst conclusions. Try to take deep breaths and get a doctor's appointment tomorrow to clear your doubts.

Assuming you mean 1 cm on a health report, it is exactly 10 mm, similar to a standard blueberry. I always log my medical reports and track my vitals on my health app to see trends over time. Definitely upload this report for a quick teleconsultation with a doctor to get an accurate opinion.
