How bad is labour pain?

My due date is getting closer, and honestly, the thought of labour pain is making me quite anxious. I've heard so many different opinions, from 'it's manageable' to 'it's excruciating.' Can someone tell me about their experience without sugarcoating it?

Labour pain is a very intense physical process, but if you experience sudden sharp pains before your due date, or see any bleeding, you must go to the emergency room immediately. Always consult your obstetrician for any symptoms during pregnancy.

It is a heavy pain, but please stay strong. Your doctors and nurses will support you through every contraction. Wishing you all the best.

I had a 14-hour labour, and yes, it is very intense and exhausting. My best tip is to practice deep belly breathing and try to rest between the contractions. Don't hesitate to opt for an epidural if the pain becomes too difficult to manage.

Since I have PCOS, I always worry about pregnancy complications, and the thought of labour pain is quite scary. From what I have learned, it is very severe but highly manageable with medical support. Let's rely on our doctors to keep us safe and comfortable.

My sister just had a baby and she said the pain was crazy, like the worst period cramps times ten. But she also said the doctors have great pain management now, so it's not something to panic about.
