How bad is a kidney infection?

My cousin just got diagnosed with a kidney infection and she's in a lot of pain. I'm worried about her, so I wanted to understand how serious this condition can actually be. Is it something that can become really bad if not treated properly?

My daughter had a severe kidney infection last year and she ran a very high fever with shivering and side pain. It is quite serious and can get worse quickly, so please get a urine culture done and consult a pediatrician or doctor immediately.

Haan na, kidney infection is really painful and dangerous! The burning sensation and backache can make you so weak. Don't sit at home, doctor will do a simple urine test and give medicines. Please take care.

A kidney infection is quite serious because if left untreated, it can cause permanent kidney damage or blood infection. If you have fever, chills, and lower back pain, you need proper doctor-prescribed antibiotics, not just home remedies.

With my high BP, I am always very careful about my kidney health. An infection can affect your blood pressure and overall kidney function, so please get a proper checkup and kidney function test done at a lab immediately.

It is pretty bad and definitely not something you can casual out. High fever, nausea, and lower back pain are clear signs of kidney infection. Skip the self-diagnosis, book an online consultation with a urologist today.

I had a kidney infection last semester and it was brutal, I couldn't even stand up straight because of the back pain. Had to take a full course of antibiotics for two weeks to recover. Go see a doctor before it gets worse.

I tried drinking barley water and cranberry juice for a week thinking it was a simple UTI, but it turned into a severe kidney infection and I ended up in the hospital. Home remedies are only good for prevention, not for curing active infections.

A kidney infection is a serious matter and should not be ignored. While drinking plenty of water and tender coconut water helps flush out toxins, you must take the proper antibiotics prescribed by your doctor to cure it completely.

Do not listen to anyone telling you to cure a kidney infection with just water or juice. It is a bacterial infection that requires proper medical evaluation and antibiotics. Get it verified by a doctor before it damages your organs.
