How bad do kidney stones hurt?

My brother recently passed a kidney stone, and he said the pain was absolutely unbearable. I've always heard they hurt a lot, but is it really that excruciating? I'm curious about the actual intensity of the pain.

It hurts like anything, boss. People literally cry and double over from kidney stone pain, it is that intense. Don't sit at home tolerating it, get a scan done and drink plenty of water as advised by the doctor.

The pain is extremely severe, often starting in the lower back and radiating to the groin. I went to a top multi-specialty hospital when it happened to me; you must get an ultrasound and ask your urologist clearly about the size of the stone.

It can completely disrupt your work schedule because the pain strikes suddenly and is unbearable. Don't waste time on hit-or-miss remedies; go to an urgent care clinic, get a quick scan, and get the right pain management protocol.

My grandmother insisted on drinking barley water and banana stem juice, which are very soothing. However, for kidney stones, the pain can be very acute, so I immediately consulted a urologist for proper scan and medical advice.

I panicked and thought my kidney was failing when I had that sharp side pain. But the doctor reassured me it was a small 4mm stone that could easily pass with fluids and medication. It hurts bad but it is highly treatable, so stay calm.
