How bad do cavities hurt?

I think I might have a cavity, and I'm really scared of going to the dentist. My tooth feels a bit sensitive sometimes, but I'm worried about how much it might hurt if it gets worse. What kind of pain can I expect from a cavity?

Please do not ignore even a tiny prick of pain when drinking cold water. I ignored a minor cavity for months until the infection reached my root, and I had to undergo an excruciating root canal treatment. Get a dental checkup right now.

They can hurt quite badly, especially at night when you lie down. A warm salt water rinse might give you some temporary comfort until you can see a dentist.

Actually yaar, the pain is super unpredictable. One day it's totally fine, and the next day you can't even talk because of the sharp shooting sensation. Don't wait for it to get worse, just get a dental x-ray done.

If you address the cavity early, a simple filling will cost you around 800 to 1500 rupees. But if you delay and need a root canal plus crown, it will easily cost 8,000 rupees. Better to get it checked early and save your money.

The pain is quite sharp, especially when sweet or very cold food touches the tooth. I had to cut down on sticky sweets and dried fruits completely. Try eating warm, simple khichdi and visit a doctor to get the cavity filled.

I have noticed my teeth became more sensitive after my hormonal issues started. The cavity pain can be really nagging and stressful. It is best to let a professional dentist evaluate it instead of trying to tolerate it.

Don't be scared, dental treatments have become very painless these days. If your tooth is hurting, just take a deep breath and book an appointment with a local dentist tomorrow morning. We'll get it sorted out quickly.

Oh, it is a terrible throbbing pain that just doesn't let you focus on anything! Last year, I couldn't even chew on one side. I had to get a simple tooth filling done and the pain vanished instantly, so don't delay it.

I literally got two cavities filled last week after putting it off for three months. Honestly, the pain before the filling was ten times worse than the actual dental procedure. Now I can eat ice cream peacefully again!

Bro, it's the worst. You can't drink cold water, you can't eat hot momos, and the pain shoots straight to your brain. Just get it filled, it takes like 15 minutes and saves you from a massive headache.

My experience was that the pain started very mild, just a small sensitivity, but within weeks it turned into a constant sharp ache that made my jaw swell. I had to get a professional filling done to make it stop.

Cavity pain can disturb your sleep and overall health. Pressing a single piece of laung (clove) near the hurting tooth can give you temporary relief from the pain, but remember, a doctor must clean the decay properly.

Applying clove oil on a cotton swab helps reduce the throbbing sensation nicely. But if your face starts swelling or if you run a fever, please rush to a dental clinic as the infection might have spread.

Tooth pain at 2 AM is a special kind of torture designed to make you regret every chocolate you ever ate. I survived on ice packs and pure prayers last night. Go to the dentist before you lose your mind like me.

I think I might be getting my first cavity because my lower molar hurts when I drink tea. Does the dental filling process hurt a lot? I am really scared of dental chairs and needles.
