How are kidney stones made?

My brother recently had kidney stones, and the pain sounded excruciating. I'm trying to understand what actually causes them to form inside the body. Is it mostly diet, or are there other factors involved?

I read that they form when your urine has too many minerals like calcium and oxalate, which stick together. Did anyone else get a sudden sharp pain in their side before realizing they had stones? I am really scared of this happening to me.

Our elders always say that drinking barley water and eating banana stem juice helps dissolve them. But fundamentally, stones form when there is not enough water to dilute the uric acid and calcium in our body. It is always best to check with a doctor to find out exactly what type of stone it is.

My son had a small kidney stone last year, and the pediatrician explained that dehydration was the main culprit. When kids don't drink enough water, minerals concentrate and crystallize into stones. Please ensure your family stays well hydrated, especially during the hot summer months.

On my fitness app, it shows that high sodium intake and low hydration levels are the primary triggers for stone crystallization. When calcium binds with oxalates in concentrated urine, it forms hard deposits. I keep a water intake tracker active on my phone now to make sure I drink at least 3 liters daily.

I ignored my mild back pain thinking it was just muscle strain, but the stone had actually blocked my urinary tract and caused a severe infection. Stones form when minerals accumulate due to low hydration or diet issues. Please go to a doctor and get an ultrasound done immediately if you feel pain.

Don't stress, kidney stones are very common and highly treatable. They are basically made of mineral and salt deposits that crystallize when your urine is too concentrated. Just focus on drinking plenty of water throughout the day and avoid eating too much salty food.

Yaar, they are actually just tiny hard rocks made from calcium, oxalate, or uric acid that build up when you don't drink enough water. If you keep having a lot of salty junk food and skip water, these minerals start bonding like crazy. So just keep sipping water throughout the day!

Listen, kidney stones don't appear out of nowhere. When you drink less water, the waste materials in your urine get concentrated and turn into hard crystals. Stop overcomplicating it, drink your 3 liters of water daily, reduce extra salt, and go see a doctor if there is pain.

I used to drink very little water and ignored the occasional burning sensation when urinating, which was a huge mistake. The minerals kept collecting and formed a large 8mm stone that required surgery. Please don't repeat my mistake; get a simple urine test and doctor checkup done early.

I am quite new to this and just trying to understand... does eating tomatoes and spinach really cause these stones to form? My uncle told me that, but I wasn't sure if it's true or if it's just a myth. I would appreciate any gentle advice.
