How accurate is blood test for colon cancer?

My uncle recently had colon cancer, and now I'm worried about myself. I heard there's a blood test for it. How accurate is a blood test for detecting colon cancer, or is it better to go for other screenings?

I panicked completely when a routine blood test showed slight abnormalities and I immediately started googling colon cancer. But my doctor explained that basic blood tests like CBC just check for anemia, which can happen for many simple reasons. Try to stay calm, it is usually nothing serious.

Do not rely on random online forums or simple blood tests to screen for colon cancer. Blood tests like CEA are mainly used to monitor treatment, not for primary diagnosis. You must consult an oncologist and get a proper colonoscopy done for accurate results.

In my long experience, blood tests only give a hint of inflammation or low hemoglobin. For colon health, we should always trust the doctor's advice and get a colonoscopy done if recommended. Don't worry, modern medical science is very advanced.

My uncle went through this recently and the blood test was just the first step because of low iron levels. It doesn't confirm cancer directly; you definitely need a colonoscopy to know the actual situation. Don't skip the proper scans.

I know how terrifying it is to wait for these test results and keep thinking of the worst-case scenario. Blood tests are not 100% diagnostic for colon cancer, they only show general markers. I am praying for your peace of mind and good health.

Hey, don't stress too much, seriously! Blood tests are just a basic check and can't diagnose colon cancer on their own, so don't let Google scare you. Just visit a good gastroenterologist and they will guide you perfectly.

Please keep your mind positive and do not let fear take over your heart. Blood tests can fluctuate for many small reasons, so believe in God and take care of your health. Get the proper medical checkup done calmly.

Blood tests are cheap and easy to get done at any local lab, but they only show if there is some internal bleeding or anemia. Instead of wasting money on repeated blood tests, it is better to plan and save for a proper colonoscopy as advised by a specialist.

I went through colon cancer screening last year. Let me tell you clearly: blood tests like CEA can be elevated due to smoking or minor infections too. Do not rely on them; get a colonoscopy done because that is the only way to find and remove polyps early.

I completely understand the intense anxiety you must be feeling right now; health scares are really draining. Just remember that a blood test alone cannot diagnose colon cancer, so don't jump to conclusions. Speak to a doctor to get the right clarity.
