Has mental health gotten worse?

Lately, it feels like everyone around me, including myself, is struggling with stress and anxiety more than ever. There's just so much pressure from all sides. Do you think mental health has truly gotten worse overall in our society, especially post-pandemic?

In our times, we had big families to share our burdens, but nowadays people are very isolated with their phones, which makes mental stress worse. While drinking herbal teas like chamomile and sitting in nature can calm the mind, severe anxiety or depression should not be ignored. Please encourage youngsters to talk to a professional doctor if they are struggling deeply.

Aaj kal bacho par padhai aur kaam ka bohot jyada bojh hai, isliye dimagi pareshani badh gayi hai. Humein ek dusre se baat karni chahiye aur ghabrana nahi chahiye. Agar koi bohot udaas rehta hai, toh doctor babu se salah lena hi sabse achha hai.

Mental health issues haven't necessarily gotten worse, but our awareness and willingness to talk about them has definitely increased. High-pressure corporate jobs and social media comparison do add a lot of stress. Don't hesitate to seek therapy; taking care of your mind is as crucial as physical health.

Between managing my teenager's exams, my own job, and rising prices, my mental peace is definitely on a permanent vacation! Honestly, the world has become too fast-paced, which makes everyone anxious. If you feel like you are losing your mind, just go see a counselor instead of suffering in silence.

Mental health and hormonal health are deeply connected; for example, my thyroid issues often cause sudden mood swings and anxiety. If you are feeling constantly low or anxious, do get a full health checkup including your thyroid levels. Always follow up with your doctor to rule out physical causes.

Our modern lifestyle is full of constant stimulation, which keeps our nervous system in a state of fight-or-flight. I have found that practicing 15 minutes of Pranayama and daily meditation helps calm the mind significantly. However, for deep emotional trauma or severe mental health conditions, professional therapy is absolutely essential.
