Es bueno el cacao para los diabéticos?

I've been missing chocolate a lot since my diabetes diagnosis. Recently, I saw some dark chocolate with high cocoa content and wondered if pure cocoa is okay for diabetics? Can I safely consume it in moderation?

I use pure unsweetened cocoa powder in my milk and it is great because it has zero sugar. Just don't buy the standard drinking chocolate mixes which are loaded with sugar. Pure cocoa actually helps with insulin sensitivity from what I've seen.

Pure cacao is a powerhouse of antioxidants and very low-carb, making it perfect for diabetics. I usually add a spoonful to my protein shakes or oats. Just make sure you pair it with a good workout routine to keep your insulin levels stable.

When I consulted my endocrinologist at Max Hospital, she told me that organic cacao is fine, but commercial chocolates are a big no. Please ask your doctor clearly about the exact percentage of dark chocolate or cocoa you can safely consume.

Yes, pure cocoa is excellent for diabetics because it is low in sugar and high in antioxidants. Just ensure there is no added sugar in the product you buy.

Haan na, pure cocoa is very good for health, but it is quite bitter without sugar. If you can handle the taste of dark chocolate with 85% or more cacao, then it is great. Just don't eat too much of it daily.

If you have a sweet tooth, you can make a sugar-free hot chocolate using pure cacao powder and stevia or almond milk. It totally satisfies those late-night dessert cravings without messing up your morning sugar readings. It's a lifesaver!

Cacao contains flavonoids which are actually known to improve blood flow and insulin response. However, many cacao products in the market have hidden sugars and fats. Always read the labels carefully to make sure you are getting pure, unsweetened cacao.
