Don't waste your cancer?

My chacha was recently diagnosed with cancer, and the whole family is quite shaken up. We want him to stay strong and positive through his treatment. What can we do to support him so he doesn't lose hope and his spirits stay up?

Having gone through chemotherapy last year, this phrase actually means finding some deeper purpose or helping others after surviving the pain. It sounds harsh, but it's about sharing your journey to make others feel less alone. Please focus entirely on your treatment and recovery first, though.

Yaar, don't stress too much about these heavy-sounding quotes. It is just a saying that tells people to value life more after fighting a big disease. Right now, your only job is to rest and listen to what the doctors are saying, okay? We are all here for you.

This is a philosophical concept about using a life-threatening crisis to change your perspective for the better. But practically speaking, your priority should be managing your medical appointments, taking proper rest, and getting regular scans. Don't put extra pressure on yourself to be 'inspirational' right now.

My grandmother used to say that every difficult phase in life is a teacher, which is what this saying means. But my uncle, who is an oncologist, always says that your only goal during cancer should be healing your physical body. Trust your doctors completely and ignore the extra philosophical pressure.

I read this in a book once; it basically means using your difficult times to grow closer to your loved ones and appreciate life. Honestly, though, it is perfectly fine if you just want to focus on resting and getting through the day. You don't have to be strong or profound every single minute.
