Don't sleep on osa?

Often, my wife complains that I snore very loudly and sometimes stop breathing in my sleep. I read somewhere that 'Don't sleep on OSA' implies one shouldn't ignore Obstructive Sleep Apnea. What are the common symptoms of OSA, and should I get myself checked?

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) sleep studies can be very expensive in private labs, but don't let the cost stop you. Many government hospitals or smaller diagnostic centers offer sleep monitoring at half the price. It's a highly necessary test because ignoring OSA can lead to much costlier heart issues later.

I ignored my heavy snoring and daytime fatigue for almost two years, thinking it was just work stress. I deeply regret it because it eventually led to high blood pressure and severe brain fog before I was diagnosed with OSA. Please get a proper sleep study done immediately.

As someone who has been using a CPAP machine for OSA for the last three years, I can tell you it is a total game-changer. Don't take sleep apnea lightly as it puts a massive strain on your heart. Along with medical treatment, losing even 5-10% of your body weight can significantly reduce the severity.

I tried changing my pillows, sleeping on my side, and using steam before bed, but none of these home remedies can cure genuine sleep apnea. It is a physical blockage of the airway, so please don't rely only on home tips. While side-sleeping helps slightly, you must see a sleep specialist.

Hey, don't stress too much, but definitely don't ignore it either! Sleep apnea sounds scary, but it's actually very common and easily manageable once diagnosed. Just make an appointment with a doctor and get it sorted so you can sleep peacefully again!
