Does zoloft cause chest pain?

My doctor prescribed Zoloft for my anxiety, and I started taking it a few days ago. Since then, I've had some mild chest discomfort, and it's making me a bit worried. Is chest pain a known side effect of this medication?

I absolutely panicked and thought I was having a heart attack when I first started this medicine. Turns out it was just really bad acid reflux, which is quite common when you first start taking it.

Please don't listen to random people online when it comes to chest pain. It could be anxiety, acidity, or something serious, so go get an ECG done and show it to your doctor.

It shouldn't cause direct cardiac pain, but severe heartburn is a known side effect if you lie down right after taking it. Always take it sitting upright and drink plenty of water.

Since I have high blood pressure, any chest discomfort makes me cautious. If you are experiencing chest pain, get your BP and vitals checked by a doctor instead of guessing if it is the medication.

Man, the first week I took it without water, and my chest felt like it was on fire. Just swallow it with a big glass of water unless you want to feel like a fire-breathing dragon!
