Does zinc oxide cause cancer?

I use sunscreen and some cosmetic products that contain zinc oxide. Recently, I read some concerning posts online about zinc oxide potentially causing cancer. Is this ingredient actually harmful?

No, zinc oxide does not cause cancer. It is actually a very safe mineral used in physical sunscreens and skin ointments to protect us from harmful UV rays. Just like we focus on clean organic foods, choosing mineral-based sunscreens is very healthy.

Please do not worry, there is no need to be scared. Zinc oxide is completely safe and widely used to treat baby rashes and protect skin. It is recognized as safe by health authorities all over the world.

Actually, zinc oxide is the main active ingredient in sport sunscreens that outdoor runners and athletes use every day to prevent skin cancer. It sits on top of your skin to block the sun, so it is highly recommended. Just keep staying active and protected!

Bro, whoever told you this is completely wrong. Zinc oxide is literally the safest sunscreen blocker out there, especially for sensitive skin. It doesn't absorb into your bloodstream, so there is absolutely zero link to cancer.

I was also terrified when I read some weird articles online about chemical ingredients in skin products. Did anyone else feel anxious about using mineral sunscreens on their kids? My doctor told me zinc oxide is totally safe, but the internet really scares you sometimes.
