Does your heart beat fast during a heart attack?

My father had a heart attack a few years ago, and I remember him saying his heart felt like it was racing. But then I read somewhere that heart attacks can also make your heartbeat slow or irregular. Does your heart always beat fast during a heart attack, or can it be different?

Actually yaar, it can vary. Sometimes the heart beats super fast because of panic and the body's response, but other times it can feel completely normal or just heavy. If anyone is experiencing chest tightness along with this, they should run to a hospital immediately.

I was actually reading up on this because my dad has high BP. It seems it can go both ways—some people experience a racing heart or palpitations, while others might feel a slow or irregular pulse. It really depends on the individual.

Do not rely on online forums to diagnose heart attack symptoms, as they can be highly misleading. A fast heartbeat, sweating, or left arm pain are serious warning signs. Go to a hospital emergency room immediately instead of searching for answers online.

My grandfather always said that any sudden change in heart rhythm shouldn't be ignored. While a fast heartbeat can happen, severe discomfort or sweating are major signs too. It is best to consult a cardiologist for proper guidance.

It can definitely fluctuate! Some feel a racing pulse while others just feel extreme pressure. If you ever feel unsafe, please don't wait and get it checked by a doctor right away! Stay healthy!

According to what our family cardiologist told us, a heart attack can cause tachycardia (fast heart rate) due to adrenaline release, but it can also present with a normal or even slow heart rate. If there is chest pain, shortness of breath, or cold sweats, immediate medical attention is mandatory.

Yes, it can. If you or someone nearby is experiencing a racing heart accompanied by severe chest pressure, radiating pain, or dizziness, call an ambulance immediately. Do not waste time trying home remedies.
