Does xanax help you sleep?

For many months now, I'm having great difficulty sleeping peacefully. My friend told me that sometimes doctors prescribe Xanax for sleep. Does it actually help you sleep?

Oh, it will absolutely put you to sleep like a baby, but trust me, waking up with that heavy brain fog is no fun. It is meant for severe anxiety, not just routine sleeplessness. If I can't sleep, I try warm milk or reading a boring book before touching prescription pills.

I once started taking leftover sleeping pills from a family member to cure my insomnia, and it became a terrible habit that ruined my health for months. Please do not self-medicate with strong prescription drugs for sleep. Go to a doctor and get your sleep cycle checked properly.

While it definitely induces sleep because of its sedative properties, psychiatrists rarely prescribe it solely as a sleeping pill due to dependency risks. If insomnia is your main concern, there are safer, non-addictive sleep aids. Discuss your sleep patterns clearly with a medical professional.

Haan beta, neend toh achhi aa jaati hai isse kyunki dimaag shant ho jata hai. Par bina doctor babu ke likhe isko kabhi mat khana, yeh nasha jaisa ban jata hai. Apne daktar se pooch kar hi koi dawa shuru karo.

Honestly, it knocked me out completely when my doctor prescribed it during a rough patch last year. But you get dependent on it super fast, which is scary. Use it only if a doctor absolutely tells you to, otherwise skip it.

Beta, these heavy English medicines for sleep can become a habit very easily, and then you won't be able to sleep without them. Try drinking a cup of warm chamomile tea or massaging your feet with mustard oil before bed. If the problem is severe, consult a doctor properly.

Yes, it causes strong drowsiness and will help you sleep, but it is highly habit-forming and not a long-term solution for insomnia. Your doctor should only prescribe it for short-term use during extreme stress. Let's look into safer sleep hygiene habits first.
