Does working out before bed help you sleep?

I've been having trouble falling asleep lately, and someone suggested exercising before bed. Does working out right before sleep actually help you sleep better, or will it make me more alert?

For me, working out late at night spiked my heart rate and caused severe insomnia, which later affected my health. I highly recommend seeing a doctor if you are having chronic sleep issues rather than experimenting with late-night gym sessions.

Heavy exercise right before bed usually keeps you awake because the body is heated up. Try drinking warm chamomile tea or doing simple breathing exercises instead. If your sleeplessness is severe, consult a doctor.

With PCOS, late-night high-intensity workouts can actually raise cortisol levels and disrupt sleep further. I prefer gentle stretching or yoga before bed, but everyone's body is different, so see what feels best for you.

My doctor at Fortis told me that exercising within 2 hours of bedtime keeps the brain too alert. He suggested keeping a gap of at least 3-4 hours. You should ask your doctor clearly about the best routine based on your fitness levels.

Haan na, late workout se neend bilkul gayab ho jati hai. Body fully charged up ho jati hai toh sone mein bahut problem hoti hai. Safe side ke liye evening mein hi exercise khatam kar liya karo.

Actually, it is a bad idea, yaar. It boosts your adrenaline and makes you super awake. Try to finish your workout by 7 PM so your body has time to cool down before you hit the bed.
