Does wood dust cause cancer?

My father used to work in a carpentry shop for many years and was constantly exposed to wood dust. I'm worried about his health. Can long-term exposure to wood dust cause cancer?

Yes, chronic exposure to wood dust is a known risk factor, especially for nasal cancers. I recently finished my treatment for sinus issues related to dust exposure in my factory. Please wear proper heavy-duty masks if you work around it.

I was actually reading an article about industrial hazards yesterday. Yes, scientific studies confirm that hardwood dust can cause nasal and sinus cancers after years of exposure. It's quite scary but true.

Actually, yes yaar. Wood dust is classified as a group 1 carcinogen. If you are doing DIY projects or working in a workshop, don't ignore it. Just buy a proper N95 mask, it's a small step but very important.

Yes, wood dust is harmful. A simple practical solution for local workshops is to install a basic dust collection system and make it compulsory for workers to wear cheap, reusable cotton masks.

Yes, it is true. My uncle developed severe respiratory complications and eventually a tumor after years of working in a sawmill without safety gear. Please consult a doctor immediately if you have chronic nosebleeds or breathing issues.

Bhaiya, lakdi ka burada saans ke raste andar jata hai toh bahut nuksan karta hai. Hamare gaon mein bhi jo carpenter hain unko hum hamesha bolte hain munh par kapda bandhne ko. Isse bachkar rehna chahiye.

While a clean, organic diet boosts immunity, it cannot protect you from the toxic effects of inhaling wood dust daily. Exposure to this dust can indeed cause cancer, so physical protection like masks is absolutely necessary.

Yes, wood dust can cause respiratory tract cancers over long periods of inhalation. Just like managing my thyroid, keeping up with regular health screenings and consulting a doctor if you have persistent nasal blockages is very important.

Putra, wood dust is very fine and harmful for the lungs and nose, and can cause severe diseases over time. For daily dust cleaning, steam inhalation and washing your face with warm water helps, but never compromise on wearing a mask.
