Does wine hurt your liver?

Everyone knows that too much alcohol is bad for the liver. I occasionally drink wine, usually in moderation. Does wine, even in small amounts, have a negative impact on liver health, or is it mostly spirits and beer that cause issues?

Yes, absolutely. I thought drinking only wine was safe, but it led to fatty liver issues that took a long time to manage. Please don't take liver health lightly; get a liver function test and consult a doctor immediately if you drink regularly.

Yes, over time, wine can definitely burden your liver. I used to try various detox drinks and herbal teas to 'cleanse' my liver, but my doctor told me the only real way to protect it is to stop or drastically reduce alcohol intake. Be practical about your health.

I completely understand how stressful it is to worry about long-term liver damage. Wine is still alcohol, and the liver processes it the same way as other drinks. Taking a step back and consulting a doctor for a routine health checkup can really help ease your mind.

I recently read about how even moderate wine drinking can affect liver enzymes over time. Has anyone else gotten slightly elevated LFT scores after social drinking? It is honestly so scary and makes me want to stop completely.

We all love pairing a good wine with pasta, but the truth is, any alcohol stresses the liver if done too often. I have had to limit my weekend drinks and focus more on mocktails to keep my digestion and liver happy.
