Does whooping cough have fever?

My daughter has this persistent cough that ends with a strange 'whoop' sound. We've checked her temperature, and it's mostly normal, maybe a little elevated sometimes. Does whooping cough typically present with a fever, or can it be absent?

It definitely starts with a mild fever, and honestly, seeing my little one suffer through those breathless coughing fits was emotionally draining for the whole family. It is so scary to watch, so please take care of yourself and get professional medical support early to ease the stress.

Yes, whooping cough typically starts with a low-grade fever, runny nose, and a mild cough. It mimics a common cold at first before the severe 'whoop' sound cough starts. Don't wait around; get to a doctor and get it diagnosed.

Haan na, starting mein thoda mild fever toh rehta hi hai. It feels like a normal seasonal cold but then the coughing gets really bad. Best hai ki doc ko dikha do bina risk liye.

Yes, a low fever is part of the initial stage. Please do not trust any home remedies or WhatsApp tips for whooping cough; it is a bacterial infection and absolutely requires proper antibiotic treatment prescribed by a registered physician.

Dekho, fever toh thoda bahut hota hi hai shuruat mein. Par isko aam sardi mat samjho agar khansi bohot zyada badh rahi hai. Turant doctor ke paas jao aur checkup karwao, delay mat karo.
