Does whey protein affect liver or kidney?

I've started going to the gym regularly and my trainer suggested I start taking whey protein for muscle growth. My mother is quite worried and heard that it can damage your liver or kidneys. Is there any truth to this?

In healthy individuals, normal consumption of whey protein does not cause liver or kidney damage. However, if you have any pre-existing conditions, consulting a nephrologist is highly recommended.

I take one scoop daily because I don't get enough protein from my office lunches. Just keep your water intake high and buy certified brands to avoid heavy metals.

The body is a temple and we must watch what we put in it. Keep your diet simple, drink plenty of fresh water, and your organs will stay healthy naturally.

Haan na, even my mother was so scared when I first bought whey protein. But it is just milk extract, nothing to worry about if we drink enough water daily.

This is a huge myth! Whey is just derived from milk. As long as you are working out and not overconsuming like 4-5 scoops a day, your kidneys are completely safe.

Humare yahan toh log dahi aur doodh par zyada vishwas karte hain. But if you are taking these powders, just make sure to drink lots of water so your body stays cool.
