Does weather affect arthritis?

My joints ache so much, especially when the weather changes or it gets chilly. My mother always said it's because of the cold, but I wanted to ask if weather genuinely affects arthritis pain. It feels like it gets worse during winter.

Listen, ask any arthritis patient and they will tell you cold and rainy days are the worst. The barometric pressure changes make the joints swell up and ache. Just keep yourself warm, use a hot water bag, and don't skip your medicines when the weather changes.

My grandmother's knees literally predict the monsoon before the weather department! Whenever it rains, she craves hot pakoras but her joints pain increases. We try to give her warm ginger tea and keep her knees covered with a blanket.

Please be very careful during weather changes. I ignored my joint pain during a cold wave thinking it was just weather-related, but the inflammation got so bad I couldn't walk for weeks. You must consult your rheumatologist to adjust your dosage if the pain gets severe.

I have been noticing my fingers aching so much more since the winter started. Is this normal or is my condition getting worse? I get so worried every time the temperature drops, does this happen to everyone else too?

Weather changes definitely bring out joint stiffness. Along with my high blood pressure, I have to manage these aches by walking regularly indoors when it is too cold or rainy outside. Regular checkups help me keep both my BP and joint health in check.

It definitely affects joints, especially the humidity and cold. Instead of using expensive treatments, my mother wraps her knees in warm flannel cloth and we use simple hot water bags. Keeping the joints moving with light household chores also helps reduce the stiffness.

The body is deeply connected to nature, so when the winter or rain arrives, our joints do feel the chill. Stay positive and practice deep breathing to manage the discomfort. Keep your body warm, eat simple nourishing food, and take gentle care of yourself.
