Does wanking help you sleep?

Trouble falling asleep lately, especially after a long day. A friend told me that 'doing the deed' might help relax you and make you sleepy. Is there any truth to this, or is it just a myth?

Actually it does help some people relax because of the hormone release, but honestly, a heavy leg day workout and a clean dinner work much better for deep sleep. If your muscles are tired, you will knock out naturally the moment you hit the bed.

Yes, it is a very common and natural way people use to wind down because it releases endorphins and reduces stress. But if you are regularly finding it hard to sleep, also look at reducing screen time and keeping your room cool. Small lifestyle changes go a long way.

Yes, biologically it releases hormones like oxytocin and prolactin, which naturally promote relaxation and sleepiness. My doctor once mentioned that while this is a normal physical response, relying on it daily as the only sleep aid isn't a long-term solution if you have clinical insomnia.

It can give a temporary relaxed feeling, but if your sleep issues are actually due to hormonal imbalances like thyroid issues, this won't solve it. I used to have terrible insomnia until my blood tests showed high TSH. Better to get your routine blood panel done once.

It might help temporarily due to physical relaxation. However, if your sleep issues are chronic or accompanied by extreme anxiety, fatigue, or chest discomfort, please get a proper medical checkup. Don't ignore persistent sleep disorders.

Haha, honestly yes, it totally does! It's just a natural way to relax your body and mind before sleeping, so don't stress about it or feel weird. Just chill, read a book, or do whatever helps you unwind after a long day.
