Does vomiting cause metabolic acidosis or alkalosis?

I'm trying to understand the body's acid-base balance better for my biology project at college. Specifically, when someone vomits, what effect does it typically have on the metabolic acid-base status? Does it result in acidosis or alkalosis?

Ji, jab hum ulti karte hain toh hamare pet ka saara tezab nikal jata hai, jisse shareer mein alkalosis ho jata hai. Aap bas thoda namak-chini ka pani peete rahiye aaram milega.

In my days, we didn't know these big names, but we knew throwing up drains the body's acids and causes alkalosis. Just give the person simple coconut water or lemon juice with salt, and they will recover fine.

It leads to metabolic alkalosis because you are dumping out a lot of acid from your stomach. Your body's electrolyte balance gets totally messed up, so make sure you rehydrate with an electrolyte drink ASAP.

It causes alkalosis because of the acid loss. No need to buy expensive supplements; simple home remedies like Electral powder or even normal nimbu paani with salt will help balance things out nicely.

Vomiting causes alkalosis because you lose all your digestive stomach juices! It completely ruins your appetite, but once you feel better, start with light khichdi and dahi to soothe your stomach.

It causes metabolic alkalosis. When you vomit, you lose hydrochloric acid and hydrogen ions from your stomach, which raises your blood pH level. Keep track of your hydration levels and sip electrolytes.

I panicked completely when I saw these terms on my lab report after a bad flu. Turns out, losing stomach acid during vomiting naturally causes temporary metabolic alkalosis. It went back to normal quickly once I stopped throwing up and rested.

Vomiting causes metabolic alkalosis, haan na. Because all the stomach acid is lost, the body becomes more alkaline. It makes you feel very weak, so taking rest is extremely important.
