Does voltaren work on muscle pain?

After my gym sessions, I sometimes get really bad muscle soreness in my back and shoulders, especially if I push myself. My wife has some Voltaren cream at home for her arthritis. Can I use it for my general muscle aches after working out?

Voltaren contains diclofenac, which is a powerful nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. My orthopedist explained that it works very well on localized muscle pain by blocking the enzymes that cause inflammation and soreness. Just don't apply it to broken skin.

It works quite well for muscle pulls, but since I am diabetic, I always consult my doctor before using any gel frequently. Painkillers can sometimes affect kidney function if absorbed in high amounts, so we have to be extra cautious.

Yes, it is excellent for post-workout muscle strains. I keep track of my recovery on my smartwatch, and applying Voltaren definitely helps me get back to my routine faster when I have a bad hamstring or back tweak.

Yes, Voltaren is very effective for muscle aches. Just make sure to massage it in gently and do not cover it with a tight bandage.

It definitely gives quick comfort to the physical body when there is a bad muscle catch. Apply a small amount, rest well, and let your body heal naturally. Take care and stay positive.
