Does vasectomy increase risk of cancer?

My neighbour recently had a vasectomy, and someone mentioned it might be linked to cancer. My wife and I are considering it for family planning, so I wanted to check if there's any truth to this worry about increased cancer risk.

Haan na, even I was scared about this before my procedure. But doctor clearly told me there is no connection with prostate or testicular cancer. It is totally safe, so you can relax.

Bro, my uncle got it done years ago and did a lot of research on this. All the major health organisations say there's zero link to cancer. It's just old rumors passing around online.

No yaar, there is actually no link at all. Tons of studies have tracked this for decades and found nothing. It is a very clean and safe procedure, so don't let these random whatsapp forwards scare you.

Arre nahi re, if vasectomy caused cancer, half the men in my colony would be in trouble by now! Relax, it's a very safe and standard procedure. Your plumbing gets a small lock, that's all.

I always believe in keeping things natural, but for surgical things, we must trust science. Research shows there is no cancer risk from this. Just eat healthy, keep your body active, and discuss any fears with a good urologist.
