Does vasectomy cause erectile dysfunction?

My wife and I are thinking about family planning, and vasectomy came up as an option. But I'm a bit worried about potential side effects like erectile dysfunction. Can anyone shed some light on this concern?

No yaar, this is actually a huge myth. Vasectomy just blocks the sperm path, it has nothing to do with your erections or drive. Don't worry about it too much, life stays absolutely normal after it.

Got mine done last year bro and everything works exactly the same. No change in erections or performance at all. The surgery is super simple, just go for it if you are sure about not wanting kids.

Medically speaking, it doesn't cause ED at all. But as someone managing diabetes, I know how stress and nerve issues can affect things down there. Just make sure to get a proper checkup and clear all doubts with your doctor first.

It shouldn't cause ED directly, but please make sure you go to a very experienced surgeon. I had some severe swelling and pain after my procedure because I didn't rest enough. If you face any issues after the surgery, don't ignore it and consult your doctor immediately.

Chill brother, don't stress too much about this. It's just a physical block for the sperm, your performance won't get affected at all. Talk to your doc once and get it cleared so you can sleep peacefully.

Absolutely not. This is a very common misconception that people need to stop spreading. It is a simple outpatient procedure that doesn't touch your nerves or hormones. You will be completely fine.
