Does typhoid still exist?

Growing up, typhoid used to be a big concern, but I don't hear about it as much these days. My son's school is planning a health awareness session. I was just curious if this disease is still around in India, or has it mostly been eradicated?

Oh, it absolutely exists and it is incredibly draining. I caught it last year and the constant high fever and extreme weakness really took a toll on my mental health for weeks. Please don't take it lightly if you or anyone has symptoms.

Yes, it is very much around and can get dangerous if ignored. I had severe stomach complications because I delayed my blood test, thinking it was just a normal viral fever. If you have a high fever that isn't going away, please visit a doctor immediately.

Typhoid is like that uninvited relative who refuses to leave India! It is very much active here, especially during the monsoon season. All it takes is one plate of contaminated panipuri to remind us that it's still alive and kicking.

Yes, typhoid is still quite common in our country. While taking the doctor's antibiotics is the main cure, we also used to give boiled water with tulsi and light khichdi to patients in our family to help their digestion recover slowly.

Bro, it definitely exists. Three guys in my hostel got down with typhoid last semester because of some bad water supply near our local hangout spot. It's totally real and those guys had a really bad time with the college exams.

Yes, typhoid cases still come up regularly in India. My mother always tells us to drink only boiled water during rains to prevent it, but if anyone gets a persistent fever, we immediately go to our family doctor for a proper blood test.

It definitely exists, and the weakness it leaves behind can ruin your fitness routine for weeks. When my friend had it, he lost so much muscle mass and could only do very light walking after 3 weeks of rest. Take care of your food and water hygiene.
