Does type 2 diabetes cause impotence?

My doctor recently diagnosed me with Type 2 diabetes, and I'm a bit concerned about some of the complications I've heard about. I'm wondering if diabetes can lead to impotence in men. Is this something common with Type 2?

I am facing this issue lately and it is making me extremely anxious and depressed. I was diagnosed with Type 2 last year but haven't been taking my medicines regularly. Has anyone else experienced this and managed to reverse it after getting their sugar under control?

Bhai, don't feel bad or shy about this. Diabetes affects the nerves of the body, which causes this problem. You just go to a good government or private hospital doctor and tell them everything openly. They will give you the right medicine and you will be completely fine.

Yes, it does. High blood sugar damages the blood vessels that supply the pelvic area. I faced this very frustrating issue, but my doctor put me on a strict diabetic diet and adjusted my medications. Once my HbA1c came down from 8.8 to 6.2, the issue was solved.

Haan na, actually high sugar levels blood circulation block kar dete hain, toh yeh problem hoti hai. It is very common in diabetes, stress mat lo. Just go to your doctor and talk freely, doctors have very simple solutions for this nowadays.

This is a classic sign of nerve and blood vessel damage from uncontrolled diabetes. I ignored these warning signs for too long and ended up with peripheral neuropathy in my feet as well. Please do not delay; consult your doctor immediately to check for nerve function and cardiovascular health.
