Does tylenol help with kidney stone pain?

I'm currently dealing with the excruciating pain of kidney stones, and it's almost unbearable. My doctor prescribed some meds, but I'm looking for anything that might offer quick relief. Can Tylenol help with kidney stone pain?

Honestly, Tylenol is too mild for real kidney stone pain, which feels like a knife in your back. You will need a stronger antispasmodic injection or tablet prescribed by a urologist. Drink plenty of water but only when the acute pain subside, otherwise it puts more pressure.

Hahaha, Tylenol for a kidney stone is like fighting a tiger with a plastic spoon! That pain is legendary. You need to visit the doctor and get the proper heavy-duty pain relief meds, and then start drinking water like a fish.

I feel your pain, kidney stones are absolutely dreadful. While Tylenol might help with the minor ache, try drinking barley water (jo ka paani) and fresh coconut water daily to help flush it out. But if the pain makes you vomit, please go to the hospital immediately.

Haan na, kidney stone pain is really unbearable. Tylenol doesn't work much because the pain is due to muscle spasms in the urinary tract. You should go to the clinic and get a proper scan done, it is much better than suffering at home.

I am having this sharp pain on my left side and back, and Tylenol is barely touching it. Did anyone else feel like they couldn't even stand up when they had a stone? I am really scared and don't know if I should go to the ER tonight.

I completely understand how terrifying this sudden, intense pain can be, it honestly makes you feel like something is seriously wrong inside. Tylenol is very safe to try first, but please don't feel bad about going to the doctor to get an ultrasound. Knowing exactly what it is will give you peace of mind.
