Does tylenol help with ear pain?

After catching a cold last week, now my ear is really hurting, especially at night. I'm trying to avoid going to the doctor right away. Can Tylenol help soothe ear pain?

My elders used to say to put warm coconut oil with a garlic clove, but for ears, we must be very careful. Taking a Tylenol will certainly help reduce the sharp ache for a few hours. But please see an ENT doctor to check if there is an infection inside.

I had a severe middle ear infection last winter. Tylenol was great for managing the pain, but remember it won't clear the fluid build-up. You will likely need antibiotic drops from an ENT specialist, so go get it examined.

Ugh, ear pain is the worst because you can't even chew your favorite food comfortably! Tylenol helps dull that painful throbbing so you can at least enjoy a warm bowl of soup. Definitely take one and get some rest.

Yes, Tylenol works wonders for ear aches! Take a tablet, keep a warm compress near your ear, and you'll feel much better soon. Take care!

I panicked so badly when my ear started throbbing last month, thinking my eardrum had burst. But it was just a mild cold congestion affecting the ear. A single Tylenol relieved the pain completely in an hour, so don't worry too much.
