Does tylenol help with braces pain?

I just got my braces put on a few days ago, and my teeth and gums are really aching right now. My mom asked if Tylenol helps with this kind of pain. Does it work for braces pain?

Yes, Tylenol is a lifesaver, especially during the first 3 days after getting them tightened. Take it about an hour before your dental appointment so it kicks in early. Also, stick to cold milkshakes and khichdi, your teeth will feel very sore to bite anything hard.

I have seen many kids in our family struggle with braces pain initially. Tylenol works very well to soothe that constant pressure ache. Make sure they also rinse their mouth with lukewarm salt water to heal any small cuts inside the cheeks.

Beta, taking a mild Tylenol tablet is perfectly fine when the teeth are aching from the new braces wire. To get extra relief, you can suck on a small piece of cold ice. Eat soft kheer or mashed bananas so you don't have to chew.

I remember crying on my first night with braces because the pain felt so intense and I feared it wouldn't go away. Please don't worry, it is completely normal and gets much better in a few days. Tylenol works wonders, just take one and try to distract yourself with a movie.

Look, braces are going to hurt every time the doctor adjusts the wire, there is no escape from that. Take a Tylenol to ease the ache and get on with your day. Avoid chewing chewing gum or hard nuts, and the soreness will settle down in 48 hours.
