Does tryptophan make you sleep?

Doc, I've been having trouble sleeping lately, especially with all the work stress. Someone at the gym suggested tryptophan might help me relax and sleep better. I just want to know if it's really effective for getting good sleep, ya fir bas aise hi hai?

Yes, it actually helps a lot. Instead of taking supplements, I drink warm milk with a pinch of turmeric and nutmeg before sleeping, as milk naturally has tryptophan. It works really well for my mild sleeplessness, you can try it.

Before buying expensive tryptophan supplements, better to get your basic blood panel done to see if you have any actual vitamin deficiencies. Tests cost around 1000-1500 rupees, but it is better than wasting money on random pills that might not even work.

I have struggled with chronic insomnia and used tryptophan. It is an amino acid that helps your body make serotonin and melatonin, which regulate sleep. But remember, it only works if you also follow a strict sleep schedule and cut off screen time before bed.

Haan ji, humare yahan kehte hain ki doodh peene se neend achhi aati hai kyunki usme ye hota hai. Aap chinta mat kijiye, sone se pehle thoda garam doodh pi lijiye, bahut aaram milega aur neend bhi gehri aayegi.

Our bodies are beautiful systems that respond well to natural elements. Tryptophan in simple foods helps quieten the mind naturally. Stay positive, practice deep breathing before bed, and let sleep come to you peacefully.

My doctor at Max Hospital told me that while tryptophan is a building block for melatonin, taking it in supplement form without supervision isn't a good idea. Please consult a sleep specialist or your physician to get the right advice.

At 55, my sleep has its own mood swings, with or without tryptophan! Yes, it helps, but honestly, putting your phone in another room helps way more than any amino acid. Give both a try!

I was just reading about this yesterday! Apparently, things like bananas, oats, and seeds are also high in tryptophan. It sounds like a natural way to improve sleep, so I might try adding these to my dinner instead of taking pills.
