Does trazodone cause kidney stones?

For quite some time, I've been on Trazodone for my anxiety and sleep problems. My mother has a history of kidney stones, so I'm always worried about my kidney health. Could this medication increase the risk of developing kidney stones?

When I was discussing my medications at Jupiter Hospital, my doctor mentioned that trazodone is not typically linked to kidney stones. However, everyone's metabolic rate is different. You should clearly ask your nephrologist or physician if you have a family history of stones.

Unless you are swallowing stones instead of the tablet, I don't think trazodone directly gives you kidney stones! Just keep chugging water like your life depends on it. Honestly, dehydration is the real villain behind those painful little stones.

I would be more worried about eating too much salty food or spinach than this tablet! If you are prone to stones, maybe cut down on tomatoes and drink plenty of fresh coconut water. A good diet is always your best defense.

There is no strong link between trazodone and kidney stones in most medical reports. Just try to drink enough water throughout the day to keep your kidneys healthy. Take care and don't worry.

I checked with my doctor about this because I have a busy travel schedule and can't afford a medical emergency. Trazodone is generally cleared through the liver, so kidney stone risk is very minimal. Just set a phone reminder to drink water regularly during work hours.

My back aches, my knees creak, but thankfully trazodone hasn't given me any kidney stones yet. Just make sure you get up to drink water and don't sit in one place all day. That's the best advice my tired body can give you.

Bro, I don't think this pill has anything to do with kidney stones. Just drink like 3 liters of water daily and you should be totally fine. Don't overthink it, just keep hydrating.
