Does trazodone cause erectile dysfunction?

A few months ago, I was prescribed Trazodone for my sleep. Since then, I've noticed some changes in my sex drive and performance, especially finding it harder to maintain an erection. Could this be a side effect of the medicine I'm taking?

Actually, sexual side effects are less common with trazodone compared to SSRIs, but they can still happen. Sometimes it is just the underlying anxiety or depression causing the issue rather than the pill. Talk to your doctor openly, they hear this all the time and can easily adjust your plan.

I started this drug three weeks ago and I am noticing some issues with intimacy now. Is anyone else also facing this? I am feeling very stressed about whether this is permanent or will go away soon.

Bro, honestly, don't stress out. Stress itself ruins your drive more than any medicine. Just relax, talk to your doctor, and they will probably switch you to something else if it's bothering you too much.

I had the exact same issue when my doctor put me on a higher dose of trazodone. Once we reduced the dosage slightly under medical supervision, everything went back to normal within a week. Don't lose hope.

If your doctor allows, try adding some moderate cardio or brisk walking to your daily routine. Improving blood circulation naturally helps a lot with these side effects. It really helped me feel more active overall.

It can be incredibly demoralizing and really hurts your self-esteem when this happens. I went through a very dark phase because of this side effect. Just remember that it is a physical reaction to a chemical, not a reflection on you, and it can be treated.

I have high BP and take daily medicines, and sometimes these drugs can cause circulation issues. It is very important to get your blood pressure and heart health checked before blaming only the trazodone. A complete lifestyle checkup really helps.

The mind and body are closely connected, and fear often worsens these physical blockages. Doing light pranayama like Anulom Vilom daily can help soothe your nervous system. Along with your regular doctor's advice, this gentle practice might bring back your natural balance.
