Does tooth pain go away?

Since yesterday evening, I've had a dull toothache that comes and goes. Sometimes it feels better, but then it starts again. I was wondering if this kind of tooth pain can just go away on its own, or if it always needs treatment?

A minor toothache from mild sensitivity might subside temporarily, but if there's a deep cavity or infection, the pain will keep coming back. You can take a mild painkiller for temporary relief, but please see a dentist for a proper permanent solution.

In my sixty years, I have realized tooth pain never goes away permanently on its own once it starts deep inside. Clove oil gives relief for a night, but saving the tooth requires a dentist's visit. Go get it checked before it swells up.

Tooth infections do not heal on their own, and high blood sugar can actually make oral infections worse. It's very important to keep your sugar under control and consult a dentist immediately to avoid any major complications.

Whenever I had a bad toothache, it would sometimes subside for a few days but always returned with double the intensity later. The only thing that ever permanently solved it for me was getting a proper filling or root canal done.

Please don't ignore it. I ignored a minor toothache thinking it would go away, and it turned into a severe abscess that required an emergency root canal and antibiotics. Save yourself the pain and see a dentist immediately.

Ignoring tooth pain now will just make it a much costlier affair later, like an expensive root canal or crown. Going for a basic dental checkup and x-ray early on in a government hospital or local clinic is much more budget-friendly.

Stay calm and keep a positive mind, as stress only makes physical pain feel worse. Try warm water gargles with rock salt to soothe the area for now, and gently visit a dental clinic to take proper care of your body.
