Does thyroid cause heart palpitations?

Lately, I've been feeling my heart racing sometimes, especially at night. My doctor mentioned my thyroid levels were a bit off in my last check-up, and now I'm wondering if there's a connection. Could thyroid issues be causing these palpitations?

Yes, especially when your thyroid levels are too high. I had severe palpitations and what worked for me was getting my pill dosage adjusted by my endocrinologist. Also, cutting down on strong filter coffee and tea really helps calm the chest thumping.

Oh yes, my heart starts racing like a sports car out of nowhere because of this thyroid stuff. At first I thought my wife was making me too nervous, but actually it was just hyperthyroidism. Definitely consult a doc to get your pulse in check.

Yes, it can. An overactive thyroid produces too much hormone, which directly stimulates your heart. If you are experiencing this along with sudden sweating, please get a thyroid panel test done and show it to a general physician.

This is actually a very common symptom, so don't panic. High thyroid levels speed up your heart rate, which feels like palpitations. Just write down when it happens and share it with your doctor during your next visit.

It can certainly cause your heart to beat fast sometimes. Just stay positive and keep your mind calm, this is highly treatable. Let the doctor check your levels and everything will fall into place, take care of yourself.

I have also been feeling my heart pounding randomly in my chest lately. I'm a bit scared to go to the clinic. Does the palpitation happen mostly at night for everyone else too?

Yes, palpitations usually mean your medication dose is either too high or too low. I get my blood tests done every three months without fail to prevent this. You should definitely show your reports to your endocrinologist soon.

Look, heart racing is nothing to ignore or wait around for. If you have thyroid, it could be the culprit, but first go get an ECG and meet a doctor immediately. Safe side rehna hamesha badhiya hota hai.

I had this same issue back in my 40s and got very scared that it was a heart attack. My doctor checked my thyroid and put me on a small daily tablet, and the palpitations vanished. Have faith, medicine works wonders for this.

My smartwatch kept alerting me about high resting heart rates of 110 bpm, which led to my thyroid test. It turns out my thyroid was acting up. If you track your vitals and see constant spikes, get a blood panel done pronto.
