Does the sun make eczema worse?

My daughter has eczema, and we're planning a beach vacation. I'm worried about her skin getting irritated. Does sun exposure generally make eczema worse for kids, or can a controlled amount actually be okay?

My thyroid flares often cause skin dryness, and direct sun exposure makes my eczema patches much worse. It is always wise to get regular skin and blood checkups done to manage these issues under a doctor's guidance.

My dermatologist explained that while very limited UV exposure can sometimes help, the sweat and heat generated by the sun are major triggers that cause eczema to flare up. She advised applying a mineral-based sunscreen before going out.

The midday sun carries very harsh energy that can aggravate heat in the body and worsen skin irritation. Practicing Sheetali pranayama can help cool down your body naturally from within.

I use a weather app to track the UV index before planning my outdoor runs. On days when the UV index is above 5, my skin definitely gets more irritated, so keeping an eye on the midday sun is super helpful.
