Does the sun cause skin cancer?

My work requires me to be outdoors in the sun a lot, especially during peak hours. I hear a lot about sun exposure and skin cancer these days. Does prolonged sun exposure definitely lead to skin cancer, or are there other factors involved?

I was reading some articles about UV radiation recently. It seems prolonged exposure to UV rays damages skin cells over time, which can lead to skin cancer. It's quite scary how common it is in Western countries.

Yes, UV rays are a primary cause of skin damage, so using a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily is highly recommended.

Buying a decent sunscreen is much cheaper than running medical tests and visiting dermatologists later. It is a small but practical investment to protect your skin from long-term damage.

Early morning sun during sunrise is very beneficial for our body and soul. However, the harsh midday sun has intense rays that can indeed cause deep damage to our skin cells, so we must avoid it.
