Does the stomach virus cause fever?

My son has been having stomach issues and vomiting since yesterday. I'm wondering if a stomach virus always comes with a fever. He's feeling very weak, but his temperature isn't very high right now.

Haan, stomach infection mein fever hona normal hai na. Body virus se fight kar rahi hoti hai toh temperature badh jata hai. Bas body ko hydrate rakho aur khichdi khao.

Yes, a mild fever can happen during a stomach bug. However, if you have high blood pressure, dehydration from vomiting can quickly affect your BP levels, so keep checking your pressure and consult your doctor.

I once ignored a stomach ache and fever thinking it was just a simple virus, but it turned out to be a severe infection that required hospitalization. Don't wait around like I did; get a proper checkup done.

You can drink warm ORS or light barley water to soothe your stomach and keep dehydration away. But if the fever goes very high or you can't keep any liquids down, please see a doctor immediately.

I was actually reading an article on gastroenteritis yesterday. It said that viral stomach infections often cause low-grade fever, while high fever usually points to a bacterial infection from contaminated food.

I had a bad stomach virus last month and had a mild fever for two days. It is super exhausting, so just rest as much as you can and keep sipping coconut water.
