Does the liver produce cholesterol?

I've been trying hard to lower my cholesterol with diet, but it's still a bit high. I've heard the body makes its own cholesterol too. Does the liver produce cholesterol internally, even if I'm eating well?

Yes, it does. I was reading up on this and was surprised to learn that our liver actually produces most of the cholesterol our body needs, even if we don't eat it.

Yes, the liver makes cholesterol, but excess of it can clog arteries. I ignored my high cholesterol levels for years and faced serious cardiac issues later, so please get yourself checked regularly.

Yes, it produces cholesterol. During my annual checkup at Fortis, the doctor clearly explained that genetics play a big role in this, so it's best to consult your doctor for a proper management plan.

Yes, beta, the liver naturally makes cholesterol as it is vital for our cells. Over the years, I've realized that a balanced life with daily morning walks keeps these levels in check.

Yeah, it makes cholesterol. My reports came back high last year even though I workout daily. Turns out, my liver was just overproducing it naturally, so I had to adjust my diet.
