Does the flu cause stomach pain?

My younger sister just got diagnosed with the flu, and she's also having quite a bit of stomach pain. I always thought the flu was more about respiratory symptoms. Does the flu commonly cause stomach pain or digestive issues?

Haan na, stomach pain during flu is not very common, but sometimes continuous coughing can put pressure on the belly muscles. Actually, if you are having loose motions or cramps, it might be gastroenteritis, not the regular influenza. Thoda light food khao.

While typical flu is a respiratory infection, stomach pain could be a sign of viral gastroenteritis or another issue. If the pain is severe or accompanied by persistent vomiting, get it checked by a physician immediately for your own safety.

Nahi bhai, sardi-zukam mein aamtaur par pet dard nahi hota hai. Agar khansi ki wajah se pet ki nas khich gayi hai toh alag baat hai. Thoda gunguna paani piyo aur halka khichdi khao, araam milega.

No, influenza doesn't directly target the stomach in adults. If your core feels sore, it might just be from coughing. If you feel up to it and your doctor allows, some light walking can help ease muscle tension.

My health tracker app shows that gastric symptoms like stomach pain are actually quite rare with standard respiratory flu, though they can happen in kids. You can log your symptoms in an app to track if it's connected to food instead.
