Does testosterone cause prostate cancer?

As I'm getting older, I'm more conscious about prostate health because my uncle had issues. I've read different things online. Does testosterone cause prostate cancer, or is it a more complex relationship?

I had some urinary complications earlier and got a major scare. My doctor explained that while normal testosterone doesn't directly cause prostate cancer, taking external testosterone supplements can be risky if you already have undiagnosed cancer. Please get a proper PSA blood test and urologist checkup first.

My doctor suggested testosterone therapy for my low energy, but I am terrified it might lead to prostate cancer. Has anyone else here on TRT had their PSA levels go up, or did it stay normal? I would really appreciate some honest feedback.

In our experience, maintaining natural hormonal balance through a simple lifestyle, active walking, and healthy eating is always safest. While scientific studies say testosterone doesn't directly cause cancer, older men must get regular medical prostate checkups to be safe. Do not self-medicate with hormone boosters.

I tried various herbal supplements to boost my low energy before realizing hormones are highly delicate. Medical consensus now is that testosterone therapy does not cause prostate cancer, but it can accelerate it if it is already present. Do not rely on home remedies to fix hormonal issues; see a professional.

There is a lot of conflicting information online about testosterone and prostate health. To be absolutely safe, you must get a digital rectal exam and a PSA test done before starting any hormone-related treatments. Only a qualified urologist should guide you on this.
