Does sweating make psoriasis worse?

I have psoriasis, and sometimes after intense exercise, my skin gets very irritated. I've noticed that sweating seems to make my psoriasis worse. Is there a connection?

I know how frustrating it is when even a little sweat makes your skin burn and itch like crazy. It used to make me feel so self-conscious about working out or going out in summer, but finding the right loose clothing really helps.

If heavy gym sessions cause too much sweating and skin irritation, you can try low-sweat activities like early morning walks or indoor yoga. Keeping the intensity moderate helps keep the skin calm while staying active.

Haan na, the salt in sweat really irritates those patches and makes them red. I always carry a soft cotton napkin to dab the sweat immediately, never rub it rough, nahi toh pain badh jata hai.

While sweating can irritate the skin, regular exercise is still great for reducing overall systemic inflammation. Just wear loose, breathable cotton clothes to the gym and dry yourself off frequently with a clean towel.

Yes, sweat sitting on the skin can really irritate psoriasis plaques and trigger intense itching. I recently started taking quick lukewarm showers right after I sweat, and it has reduced my flare-ups significantly.
