Does sunscreen give you skin cancer?

I've been using sunscreen daily as part of my skincare routine. But now I'm worried if it's actually bad for me and if sunscreen can give you skin cancer instead of protecting you.

I was looking this up because of a TikTok video, but all scientific research says sunscreen is totally safe. The chemicals in it are highly regulated and don't cause cancer. It is the actual UV radiation from the sun that is dangerous.

Hey, chill out. Sunscreen does not give you skin cancer; it actually prevents it by protecting you from the harsh sun rays. Don't let random social media posts scare you, just buy a good brand and use it daily.

I love using homemade ubtan and fresh curd to soothe my skin, but sunscreen is still a must for outdoor protection and it definitely doesn't cause cancer. If you ever notice any strange dark spots or persistent irritation, please skip home tips and see a doctor.

I also panicked last year after reading some random article about sunscreen chemicals and stopped using it. My skin got so damaged and sunburnt! My doctor scolded me and explained that sunscreen is completely safe and absolutely necessary.

Bro, no way. Sunscreen is literally made to block cancer-causing UV rays. I wear it to my college football practice every day and my skin has never been better. Just buy a simple oil-free one.
