Does sunblock give you cancer?

I've been hearing a lot of conflicting information online about sunblock. Some posts say it actually causes cancer instead of preventing it. Is this true or just a baseless rumour?

Honestly, internet research can make you so paranoid about everything. But instead of guessing, why don't you talk to a proper dermatologist about this? They can guide you on which ingredients are actually safe for your skin type without any risks.

My dermatologist explained this very clearly during my last visit. She said the risk of getting skin damage from Indian sun is way higher than any imaginary risk from sunblock chemicals. She recommended choosing a gel-based sunscreen with PA+++ rating.

I was actually reading about this yesterday on some health blogs. It seems some chemical filters had issues, but physical sunscreens like zinc oxide are totally safe. I am also trying to find a good mineral one now just to be on the safer side.

I travel in the sun daily and looked into this. There is absolutely no real scientific proof that standard sunblock causes cancer, but sunburns definitely do damage. Just buy a trusted brand from a pharmacy and move on with your day, don't overthink it.

I had a minor skin issue last year and got so scared that my sunscreen was causing it. My skin doc cleared my doubts completely and said sunblock actually protects us from dangerous UV rays. I still use my SPF 50 daily and my skin is doing much better now.

Our bodies are very resilient, and the sun gives us beautiful energy. But yes, we must protect our skin boundaries. Please do not worry or let these scary internet rumors disturb your peace of mind. Just use a mild, gentle block and stay happy.
