Does sugar cause heart attacks?

My doctor recently told me to watch my diet for heart health, especially since heart disease runs in my family. I've heard that sugar can be very bad for the heart. Does consuming sugar actually cause heart attacks or increase the risk significantly?

In our family, we always say that excess sweet leads to heavy blood, but my doctor explained it more clearly. High sugar intake causes inflammation in blood vessels and leads to fat buildup. We should definitely control our sweet tooth but always follow your cardiologist's advice for heart health.

Yes, absolutely. People worry too much about oil and fat but ignore the massive amounts of sugar in processed food that clogs arteries. Cut out the bakery items and sweet drinks if you want to keep your heart safe. Regular cardiac checkups are non-negotiable after 30.

Oh man, this is scary news for someone like me who needs a dessert after every meal. Knowing that too much sugar can pressure the heart makes me want to rethink my double-chocolate pastry orders. I guess I have to start sharing my desserts instead of eating them alone!

Since I already have high blood pressure, my doctor keeps a very strict eye on my sugar levels because both together are bad for the heart. You have to change your lifestyle, walk daily, and get your cholesterol and sugar tested regularly. Don't wait for a warning sign.

Honestly, seeing my dad cut down sugar because of his heart health was a wake-up call for me too. We youngsters drink so many energy drinks and iced coffees without realizing how much sugar is in them. It is better to build clean habits now itself before things get serious.

Having thyroid issues already puts a strain on my metabolism and cardiovascular health, so I am very careful with sugar. My doctor advised me to track my lipid profile and sugar levels every few months to stay on top of any heart risks. Please consult your physician for proper regular screening.
