Does sucralose raise blood sugar in diabetics?

My doctor advised me to cut down on sugar because of my border-line diabetes. I started using sucralose in my chai and desserts, but then I read somewhere that even sugar substitutes can affect blood sugar. So, I am a little confused, does sucralose actually raise blood sugar levels for diabetics like me?

I experienced some minor gut issues when I changed my sugar substitute. Since diabetes is complex, please consult your doctor before modifying your diet plan.

I have been monitoring my blood sugar for two years now, and adding sucralose to my daily tea has never caused any spikes for me personally.

While sucralose is technically a non-impact sweetener, everyone's body reacts uniquely. It is highly recommended to check your sugar level after consuming it to be absolutely sure.

My doctor took away my sugar, so now I survive on sucralose. Thankfully, it doesn't raise my blood sugar, though it still can't match the joy of a real sweet!
